Trip Description: We will be in the water and launched at 10:00 at Cedar Hill Park; please arrive no later than 9:30. We will paddle west to Mac Bayou, then north into Mac Lake, explore around, and make a lunch stop. After lunch, we'll paddle back into Lake Charlotte and across to the channel into Mud Lake.This is a beautiful cypress swamp paddle.
ACA Membership Requirements and Fees
Directions to the Put-in: Our destination is Cedar Hill Park. To get there take I-10 East from
Houston about 35 miles and cross over the Trinity River bridge.
Continue 4 miles further to FM 563 at exit 810. Turn left onto FM563
(North) and go 2.7 miles to Lake Charlotte Rd. Turn left (West) and
travel 1.0 mile to the entrance (left turn) to Cedar Hill Park. It's approximately 45
miles from Downtown Houston. The Lat/Long for the put-in is N29

Hazards: East Texas critters - alligators, fire ants, wasps, snakes. poison ivy. Lake can get choppy in a 15 mph wind.

Every participant must wear a PFD and sign an ACA Waiver. Click on link below to print out the waiver. Please complete prior to the trip so we can all get on the water a little quicker. HASK members who have provided a waiver to the HASK Membership Director do not need to complete a waiver.
Non-ACA Participants: You must purchase an ACA membership. Select the ACA menu item to join the ACA in advance or pay the fee below at the put-in. Checks made out to the ACA are preferred to cash.
