Trip Description:  A rarity for HASK - A shuttle trip.    Drop boats and paddlers at the put-in at the boat launch on FM 2611 Bridge on the San Bernard River at 10 AM. Shuttle cars down to 2J's Restaruant on the San Bernard (15-20 min. round trip).

Paddle the 6.5 miles to 2J's Restaurant. This trip will take about 2-1/2 hours on the water. Take out. 

Shuttlee's can run to pick up the remaining vehicles while others place their orders at 2J's. Have lunch and head back to town.

Directions from Beltway 8 and Hwy 288:  Take Hwy 288 South for 40 miles. Turn Right (West) on FM 2004.  Drive 6.75 miles. The highway will change from 2004 to FM 2611 as it cross Hwy 36. Drive another 3.2 miles SW to the San Bernard River bridge at FM 2611. The put-in at the back-down ramp is on the right. Lat-lon of put-in is    28° 57.045'N    95° 33.309'W

Nearest last restroom before the put-in is back in Lake Jackson.

Shuttle drivers:  Get back on FM 2611 West. Drive 1 mile. Turn left on FM 2918 (same as San Bernard River Camp trips). Drive 6 miles and look for sign for 2J's on Cty Rd 469 on the left (river side).

 

  

Hazards:  Potential cold weather at this time of year. Dress appropriately. Completion of assisted re-entry training is strongly recommended. Participants without this training must paddle with someone who has.

    • HASK members should always choose the Annual Waiver option and leave the Name of the Event and Activity Date blank.

Guests – You are welcome to join us for a couple of paddle trips.  HASK will cover the $5 ACA event membership for non-ACA members. Hopefully you will then join HASK and continue paddling with us.
