There are no offical fees. After consulting with your trip initiator Willie Younger, we have assemble a method to solve a shuttle concern. I will attempt to explain this in a "Pyramid Style" as they say in the newspaper business, putting the most critical information on the top.

We all need to rendezvous in Birding and Nature Center in Bay City, TX. Since we will depart from there in two separate vehicles, mine and Willie's, each with a trailer. Your cars will be parked at the Nature Center.

With 10 paddlers I propose we adopt an idea Carl Kuhnen mentioned and that is to have a group of 5 start their paddle from Sargent Beach, the East end of the bay, and the other 5 start from Rawlings Cut on the west. We meet in the middle to compare experiences, make dinner and camp for the night. Willie and I will exchange keys. Then on Sunday morning we separate and continue on our respective courses.

That way everything will be loaded (supervised by the respective drivers approval) before heading our separate ways.  Again, these respective drivers will supervise the re-loading on Sunday morning at the take out.

We have 3 HASK trip leaders so obviously, we need at least one for each put in. I do ask Willie, Robin and their group to start in Sargent since he has the friend with the place to camp Friday for those coming in then. The east bound paddlers lead by Chris and Paul will camp at the Lower Colorado Campground.

I encourage all of you to fix a cup of tea, pull up Google Maps and think about this idea and give me some ideas on how to improve it.

NOTE:  It is 31 miles from Wadsworth to Sargent Beach; 10 miles from Wadsworth to the town of Matagorda; 41 miles from Matagorda to Sargent Beach.  Average speed: 45 mph. So it will take almost an hour to drive from Matagorda to Sargent Beach. Its another 7 miles from Matagorda to the LCRA park.
