Paddlers’ Camping Course

This program is designed to teach outdoors enthusiasts (i.e., aquaphiles) how to safely and comfortable enjoy remote and primitive waterfront campsites accessed by kayak or canoe.  Session I (shore side class) will be held from 9:00 a.m. until noon on Saturday, August 22 at the Matagorda County Birding Nature Center near Bay City.  Session II will be the overnight float trip on the Colorado River, September 26 - 27.

The course is $35/person and includes instruction, float trip shuttle (people & boats), guide and trip leadership services; along with a continental breakfast this Saturdaymorning.  Boat-less paddlers can also reserve a MCBNC loaner (sgl. or dbl.) for an additional $25/kayak.
