 The Greens Bayou Regatta will combine recreation, stewardship, and education on one of Houston’s most beautiful and secluded waterways, Greens Bayou. The 7.5 mile race course will showcase two planned launch locations, Brock Park and Thomas Bell Foster Park. This inaugural regatta will raise funds and awareness to implement the proposed 27.5 mile paddle trail. Saturday, June 4, 2016 is also American Hiking Society’s National Trails Day, the country’s largest celebration of trails. National Trails Day events will take place in every state across the country and will include hiking, biking, horseback riding, paddling trips, birdwatching, stewardship projects and more. Join us as we celebrate this day on Greens Bayou!

Trip leaders can use this template to post non-HASK Third Party Events. COPY this template to the event date and EDIT THE COPY. PLEASE DO NOT EDIT THIS TEMPLATE. The red text is for internal instructional use. Use it as a guide and then delete all the red text from your posted event. Edit your copy by going through the Basic Info, More Info, and Description pages just as you would for any HASK event. Add event-specific details and a link to the organizer's website and registration. Registration must be external to our website. Add your name as the contact person for reference only, not responsibility. The Disclaimer must be included at the top of the event. The purpose of this is to avoid endorsement and responsibility for events that our club and we as individuals do not control.

Below is HASK's policy on third party events:

• The HASK board of directors (Board) considers it important to list non-HASK (3^rd Party) events on our calendar that are relevant to sea kayakers.  Typically these will be paddlesport, training, community service or conservation events.  
• Members will be encouraged to contact a board member or trip leader with suggestions for 3^rd Party events.  
• Board members, coordinators and trip leaders may post 3^rd party events on the calendar.   
• The Board will monitor 3rd party event postings and may remove any event they consider inappropriate or not relevant to our members.  They may also modify an event posting. 
• 3^rd party events posted on the calendar will be categorized as a non-HASK event.
• Registration will not be available on the HASK website for 3^rd party events.
• The person posting the event should be listed as the contact.  
• All 3rd party events will have the disclaimer below added to the event description. Disclaimer should be near the top so the viewer does not have to scroll down to see it.
• All emails concerning 3rd party events will contain the disclaimer.
