This is an ACA sanctioned event. All participants in ACA-insured activities must wear properly-fitting U.S. Coast Guard-approved life jackets (Personal Flotation Devices, or PFDs) at all times during on-water activities. Non-HASK participants must sign a waiver. See all rules at the bottom of this page.

A COVID WAIVER IS REQUIRED BY ALL PARTICIPANTS. Some might have one on file.
Use the link HASK COVID-19 Waiver to open the waiver in PDF form. Print off the form, sign it and either bring it to the event or scan and email to me at bill@ohsiesworld.net as an attachment. Other options are to take a photo of your waiver on your phone or scan using the Adobe Scan app and emailing or Text to Bill Ohsie.

We will drop our kayaks and gear off at the put in at 1776 Park in Friendswood, then drive our bikes to the take out at Lynn Gripon Park at Countryside (League City). Then pedal to the put in and relieve our kayak sitter.
  So come to the put in in Friendswood (1776 Park, 154 Imperial Dr, 77546) at 930am, offload your kayak and gear.  Then we will drive with our bikes to the take out at Lynn Gripon Park at Countryside (100 Alderwood, League City, TX 77573) then bike to the put in.
The bike ride is an easy one, we will not be sharing the road with speedy traffic.  We will be riding on back roads or sidewalks.  Don't forget your bike lock to keep your bike safe while we paddle. 
I will still be looking for someone who will 'babysit' the kayaks while we do the bike portion.  If you would prefer to just do the kayak part and would watch the boats for us, let me know.

Directions to the put in...
Go South on 45 to exit 29.  Take a right on FM 2351.  Go 2.7 miles and take a left onto Imperial Dr, then an immediate left to the parking lot at the creek.




Hazards -- Pilings, boat traffic, fire ants. We will try to avoid hazards. Most importantly, bring plenty of water, warm paddling clothes, A DRY BAG WITH SPARE CLOTHING,  sun protection and snacks/lunch.

Guests – You are welcome to join us for a couple of paddle trips.  HASK will cover the $5 ACA event membership for non-ACA members. Hopefully you will then join HASK and continue paddling with us.
