I'm struggling with clarity and color of the varying opportunities available to HASK members this coming week. Register by clicking the Register button that takes you to HASK registration (for free events) or RiverCoast (for when we need to pay Jeff).  To summarize:

* Grey events - In efforts to "train the trainer", these courses are for current ACA Instructors. By popular request, ACA Instructor Trainer Jeff Atkins is returning to Christmas Bay/San Luis Pass to lead these courses as well as well as the trainings in grey or green.

In addition to the free "practice student" opportunities, these events include trainings by Jeff for the Friday PaddleSports Facilitator and Sat-Sun Intro to Waves with optional surfing in ~1 to 1.5 feet water. Instructing is Jeff's livelihood and class size is limited, so sign-up and payment are required via RiverCoast.com/Events.

* Blue events - The blue events are led by HASK members Lynne Andrus and Paula Scotney Castle to HASK members, no fee involved.  Also, see the demo and fun day/tour on Sunday (04-Dec).  Both events are weather dependent and by member request but can include the popular Titlum Tatlum bayou trip or training (rolling, rescues, waves) or guiding.

Thursday's Full Moon paddle is documented in detail but promises favorable tides and good water. See details by clicking on the event.

* Yellow event - The Shrimp Boil is a HASK social event regardless of whether you plan to paddle. Bring your own drinks (non-alcoholic if you paddle or drive) and an optional side dish or a few bucks to throw into the kitty.  Also, most nights promise a low-key but fun social.

* Aqua accommodations - Folks have asked for a place to stay, at Gary Masters suggestion, we rented a second beach house. Please see details on the HASK event calendar and sign-up on RiverCoast.com/Events. If you do not want a bedroom to yourself, folks may want to team up to split days or share rooms.
