This is an ACA sanctioned event. All participants must wear a PFD. Non-HASK participants must sign a waiver. See all rules at the bottom of this page.

Notify the Event Contact to cancel your registration.
TRIP DESCRIPTION:  
Practice your paddling skills on calm, relatively protected water away from motorboat traffic. We will launch from Bay Area Park and paddle upstream.
 
 ** Be sure to bring plenty of water, sunscreen and a snack.
 
DIRECTIONS: From Houston, take I45 South towards Galveston. Exit Bay Area Blvd and go left (East) for 5.6 miles to Bay Area Park.  
 
HAZARDS:  Stumps, alligators, heat, dehydration, snakes, mosquitos and thunderstorms.

This is an ACA sanctioned event. Every participant must wear a PFD and sign a HASK/ACA Waiver.  Click on link below to print out the waiver.  Please complete prior to the trip so we can all get on the water a little quicker.  HASK members who have provided a waiver to the HASK Membership Director within the last year do not need to complete a waiver.

Non-ACA Participants: HASK will cover the $5 ACA event membership for the first 2 times you paddle with us.  Thereafter, to continue participating, it is expected that you will join HASK and the ACA.
