The Matagorda County Birding Nature Center (MCBNC) in Bay City, TX, in collaboration with Matagorda Adventure Company (MAC) will be offering a two-part class covering the fundamentals of kayaking and safe boating. It will run from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the MCBNC, near Bay City on June 21 AND June 23.
It is open to individuals 12 and older in moderate physical condition. The fee is $65 for members of the Birding Nature Center and $75 for non-members. Participants may bring their own boat, paddle and PFD; use a loaner, at no cost, if a MCBNC member; or rent a kayak from MAC for a nominal fee of $35…if a ‘boat-less’ non-member.
