Meetings

Club meetings provide members with a chance to connect, share stories, visit, have a bite to eat, and learn something new about special topics of interest to sea kayakers.

“HASK is such a convivial bunch of wonderful eclectic people” – Linda D

Meeting are held each year in January, March, May, July, September and November.  We meet at restaurants near downtown Houston; locations and dates are posted on the Events calendar.  Registration isn’t necessary but it's highly recommended to allow our meeting coordinator to arrange for the right sized facilities and staffing with the restaurants. Everyone pays for his or her own meal. Guests are welcome to attend club meetings.

The general agenda for our club meetings is as follows:

6:00 – 7:30 Social hour

7:00 – 7:45 Dinner

7:45 – 8:00 Safety talk

8:00 – 9:00 Special topic/Guest speaker
