David Brown, scientist, Gulf Coast Branch Chief, Gulf Coast Chief Hydrologist, Texas Water Science Center and Associate Program Director, Gulf Coast Programs, USGS, will cover various topics of interest for ocean, bay and rivers, including, but not limited to:
1) Tidal monitors or practical information sources we could take advantage of
2) Gages and Flow Reporting in the bayous and rivers
3) Where the mercury comes from that is found in the bays (is it a natural component of the clay in our region?)
4) Any areas we might be able to help (citizen science assistance)
