Instructor - Students

Level 1 Kayak Instructor Certification Workshop
Material covered includes but limited to:

1.       Some in-the-water demonstrations are required.
2.       Get on / off or in / out of a paddlecraft from the shoreline independently or with a reasonable amount of assistance
3.       Independently get out and from under a capsized paddlecraft.
4.       Remount or reenter the paddlecraft following deep water capsize independently or with a reasonable amount of assistance.
5.       Maintain a safe body position while attempting skills, activities and rescues listed in the appropriate Course Outline, and have the ability to recognize and identify to others when such efforts would be unsafe given your personal situation

As part of the training, you will earn a Paddlesports Safety Facilitator - Kayak Instructor Endorsement.   Facilitators introduce paddlecraft safety and knowledge to the beginner paddler in a land-based setting.

Camping at Hildalgo Falls is possible.
